FUTURE MATCH RULES CONSIDERATIONS

 

For those of you who have been with us for awhile, you know we like to change the rules and format slightly each time to keep things interesting.

Here are the rules from previous recent matches:

Here are some things we're considering swapping in and out on occasion (usually just one or two at a time) for future matches...

  • No bench-type (adjustable) front rests -- only soft rests (shooting bags, sand bags), cross rests, or bipods.

  • "Handicap" (10-20 points) for use of bench-type (adjustable) front rests.

  • Shoot one target from kneeling or sitting position

  • No rear rests

  • Shorter time limit (15 minutes instead of 20)

  • More variety in bullseye target sizes

  • Target Identification challenge - pick out geometric shapes

  • Target Identification challenge - facial recognition

  • Know Your Limits (targets get progressively smaller)

  • "Mystery target"

  • Tactical Shooting Style

  • Separate Junior Shooter competition class
