MATCH FORMAT HISTORY
(we change them a bit every time!)
and future match rule considerations

 

For those of you who have been with us for awhile, you know we like to change the rules and format slightly each time to keep things interesting.

Here are the rules not only from previous matches, but you may ALSO find some preliminary rules for some matches in upcoming months at the end of the list:

Here are just some of the things we've swapped in and out at various times...

  • No bench-type (adjustable) front rests -- only soft rests (shooting bags, sand bags), cross rests, or bipods.

  • "Handicap" (10-20 points) for use of bench-type (adjustable) front rests.

  • Shoot one target from kneeling or sitting position

  • No rear rests

  • Shorter time limit (15 minutes instead of 20)

  • More variety in bullseye target sizes

  • "Plinking style" targets

  • Target Identification challenge - pick out geometric shapes

  • Target Identification challenge - facial recognition

  • Know Your Limits (targets get progressively smaller)

  • "Mystery target"

  • Tactical Shooting Style

  • Separate Junior Shooter competition class
